According to reports from Tutto Mercato, Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion are plotting a swoop for Palermo winger Carlos Apna Embalo.

Following West Bromwich Albion’s decent campaign in the Premier League last term, it was believed that manager Tony Pulis would look to consolidate this summer by strengthening his squad with a number of signings.

A bit surprisingly though, West Brom have been very quiet in the transfer market so far and have brought in only the duo of Matt Phillips and Brendan Galloway.

With only a week remaining before the conclusion of the summer window, many expect Pulis to bring in a couple of players to the Hawthorns and the Baggies are currently said to be in the market to sign an attacking player.

Recently, the likes of Manolo Gabbiadini and Jay Rodriguez have been touted to join West Brom and now according to reports emerging out of Italy, the Premier League side are also interested in Palermo youngster Carlos Apna Embalo.

Embalo is a very talented winger who managed to really impress while on loan at Brescia last season, scoring 5 goals as well as providing 11 assists in 40 Serie B appearances.

Embalo is rated very highly by Palermo but at the same time, it is believed that club President Maurizio Zamparini would be open to parting with the 21-year-old if a decent offer came along.

Tutto Mercato claim that West Bromwich Albion have recently registered an interest in signing Embalo and it will be interesting to see if the Baggies are able to lure the promising attacker to England this summer.
