West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Romaine Sawyers from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

It has been reported that Sawyers is high on West Brom manager Darren Moore’s list of targets this summer.

It has also been claimed that the Baggies will make an imminent bid of £3 million for the 26-year-old midfielder.

Back to West Bromwich Albion?

Sawyers actually started his professional club football career at West Brom, but the 26-year-old failed to break into the first team at The Hawthorns and left the Baggies in 2013.

The Saint Kitts and Nevis international played well during his time at Walsall from 2013 till 2016 before moving to Brentford.

The midfielder has established himself as an important player for the Bees, as he scored four goals and provided four assists in 36 Championship starts this past season.

Sawyers knows the Championship inside out, and the 26-year-old would be a smart signing for West Brom, who got relegated from the Premier League this past campaign.
