West Bromwich Albion had a £7 million bid for Charlie Taylor rejected by Leeds United in January.

Leeds United's Charlie Taylor

According to a report in the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion remain interested in signing Leeds United’s Charlie Taylor.

West Brom have been tracking Taylor for some time, but have failed to get a deal over the line yet.

The Baggies made a £7 million bid for Taylor in January, but Leeds rejected their offer (The Guardian).

The Whites were determined to keep hold of the left-back, even though his future is in some doubt.

Taylor’s current deal at Leeds is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he will be free to leave.

Although Leeds will receive some compensation, due to Taylor’s age, they will not get the left-back’s market value.

And West Brom reportedly feel that they may be able to finally snap up Taylor in the summer.

The Baggies are also looking at other left-back options that they could bring in, with Tony Pulis’ side linked with Schalke’s Dennis Aogo recently (Daily Mail).
