West Bromwich Albion are monitoring Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to the Irish Sun.

The Baggies lost Darren Fletcher to Stoke City last week and could replace him with the Tigers star, who it is claimed has a £2 million release clause in his contract after the Yorkshire side’s relegation.

Centre-back Curtis Davies has already quit the KCOM Stadium for Derby County under similar circumstances and Huddlestone could be next to move on.

West Brom are said to have been alerted to Huddlestone’s availability in the wake of Fletcher’s departure and a return to his native Midlands could appeal to the four-cap England international.

However, Tony Pulis’ side may not be the only ones keen, with a number of clubs having made enquiries, according to Sky Sports.

Should he move to the Hawthorns this summer, Huddlestone would reunite with former Hull midfielder Jake Livermore, with whom he also played at Tottenham Hotspur.
