Report: West Bromwich Albion lining up loan striker, but there’s complications

West Bromwich Albion currently only have a limited budget to spend on new additions.

According to a report in the Express and Star, West Bromwich Albion will make a move for a striker on loan this summer, if they are unable to sell Jonny Evans.

West Brom’s transfer budget is currently limited, as Alan Pardew has a limited amount of funds to spend.

The Baggies are keen to bring in a forward, but as things stand, it is likely that a temporary fix will be targeted.

West Brom do not have the funds to finance a permanent deal, and they also only have a limited amount of options they can bring in on loan.

The Baggies are said to be able to afford to spend up to £50,000-a-week on wages for their new forward, but any salaries larger than that cannot be funded.

West Brom brought in Grzegorz Krychowiak on over £100,000-a-week in the summer transfer window, but similar deals are impossible unless Evans goes.

Evans is currently interesting a range of Premier League clubs, but West Brom are yet to receive a bid for the centre-back.
