The Sun on Sunday reports (05/02, page 63) West Bromwich Albion are ‘keeping tabs’ on Brentford defender John Egan.
The Baggies were linked with a succession of centre-halves during the winter transfer window, eventually adding Bournemouth utility man Marc Wilson on a half-season loan deal.

Egan, though, is five years younger than the 29-year-old, and could be viewed as a more long-term option for Tony Pulis’s team.

The Irishman has impressed since joining Brentford from League One Gillingham in the summer, having been released by first club Sunderland in 2014.
And Pulis was present last Saturday as Egan’s Bees were beaten 4-0 at Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
