Newcastle United forward Dwight Gayle has not made an appearance at St. James’ Park, since moving back from West Bromwich Albion.

Gayle spent last season on loan at West Brom and was their top scorer, but they were unable to make his move from Newcastle a permanent one.
Steve Bruce decided to keep Gayle at St. James’ Park, but the forward has been unable to make an impression to Newcastle’s new manager so far.
Gayle has suffered badly with injury, meaning he has not made an appearance for the Magpies this season.
West Brom are now hopeful that Bruce may be more open to selling Gayle in January, and they could make a bid.

Bilic is on record suggesting that West Brom want another striker, and there are few better options on the market than Gayle.
The 28-year-old is a huge threat at Championship level, where he carries a guarantee of goals.
Newcastle did want £20 million for Gayle during the summer transfer window (Northern Echo), but whether they would have now reduced that asking price remains to be seen.
