According to The Birmingham Mail, West Bromwich Albion could make a decision on former Norwich City pair Russell Martin and Wes Hoolahan after this weekend.

It has been reported that 32-year-old defender Martin and 36-year-old attacking midfielder Hoolahan are training at West Brom this week.

The two players will stay at the Baggies until the end of the week, according to the report, which also claims that a decision on their future could be made after the weekend.

The Birmingham Mail, though, has also reported that West Brom manager Darren Moore is in no rush to decide whether or not to hand Martin and Hoolahan contracts.

Sensible signings?

Both Martin and Hoolahan are good and experienced footballers, but it is hard to see either of them challenging for a spot in the West Brom first team rightaway.

If West Brom do sign them, then they are likely to be used as squad players during the 2018-19 campaign.

The Baggies are aiming to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League this season.
