West Bromwich Albion’s board want a new manager in place sooner rather than later now.

According to the Express and Star, West Bromwich Albion could make an appointment of a permanent manager this week.

West Brom still haven’t found a long term replacement for Darren Moore, as James Shan was doing a highly impressive job.

Shan won his first four matches in charge of the Baggies, but West Brom’s defeat to Millwall last weekend has reportedly made the mind up of the club’s board.

The Baggies are now eager to make an appointment sooner rather than later, and they are hoping to have a new man in place by the end of the week.

West Brom reportedly still view Preston North End boss Alex Neil as their top choice, but Slavisa Jokanovic is still on their wishlist too.

Albion are next in action against Bristol City tomorrow, when Shan will still remain in charge.

The Baggies are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and look almost certain to be in the play offs.
