West Bromwich Albion are set to make an official approach for Dean Smith and Michael Appleton soon.

West Brom parted company with Alan Pardew last month, and they have so far been happy to leave Darren Moore in caretaker charge.
Moore has performed an impressive job at the Hawthorns, and is thought to be in contention to land the job on a permanent basis.

However, West Brom also have other options – and approaches for Dean Smith and Michael Appleton are anticipated in the coming days.
Smith is said to have a lot of support on West Brom’s board, as they have been impressed with the job he has done at Brentford.

Smith has guided Brentford to the outskirts of the play offs on a budget which pales in comparison to some of their rivals’.
West Brom are looking likely to drop into the Championship, although they have given themselves some chance of surviving with their recent form.
The Baggies need to win their remaining fixtures and hope that their relegation rivals all lose if they are to stage a miraculous escape.
