Report: West Bromwich Albion already making moves to sign Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew is keen to improve his side in the January transfer window.

According to a report in the Sheffield Star, West Bromwich Albion have asked about signing Barnsley full-back Andy Yiadom.

Yiadom is attracting attention ahead of the January transfer window, with Swansea City also interested in the 26-year-old.

Both West Brom and Swansea are fighting against the drop in the Premier League, and believe Yiadom could help them climb to safety.

Alan Pardew is thought to be keen to upgrade his squad, as he looks to take them forward from Tony Pulis’ time in charge.

West Brom are on a lengthy winless run, and have slide down to 17th place in the Premier League table.

Yiadom, meanwhile, has made 11 appearances for Barnsley in all competitions and could provide West Brom with a better attacking outlet at right-back.

The Baggies have generally opted to pick Allan Nyom to start a right-back in recent times.

West Brom are next in action tomorrow evening, when they take on Liverpool.
