West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon, who spent this season on loan at Newcastle United, is reportedly opening to joining Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Rondon spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Premier League club Newcastle United from Championship side West Brom.
According to WhoScored, the Venezuela international striker made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle this season, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in the process.
The Express & Star has reported that Rondon is interested in moving to Wolves this summer, and that the Wanderers are happy to meet the £16 million release clause in his contract at West Brom.
The report has also claimed of interest in the 29-year-old striker from Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle.
Good signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers?
Rondon is a very good striker who has experience of playing in the Premier League, and the Venezuela international will be a smart signing for Wolves.
The 29-year-old will provide Raul Jimenez with competition, and he could also play in his place if and when the Mexico international forward has a dip in form.
