Wolfsburg may be willling to sell Joshua Guilavogui this summer and West Brom are keen.
Tony Pulis was on top of the world when West Brom completed the signing of Premier League veteran Gareth Barry from Everton.
And, since then, The Baggies appear to have turned their attention towards additions at either end of the pitch, The Sun reporting that Tottenham pair Kevin Wimmer and Vincent Janssen are of interest to Pulis.
However, West Brom making another addition to their midfield before the end of the transfer window cannot be discounted just yet.
Latten Kreutz broke the news last month that The Baggies, as well as top flight rivals Stoke City, were targeting Wolfsburg midfielder Joshua Guilavogui and Bild claims that the duo are still interested with a week remaining before the transfer deadline.
Wolfsburg only signed the 26-year-old on a permanent deal in May last year, paying Atletico Madrid around £2.5 million after two seasons on loan in the Bundesliga (Marca).
However, the club have since signed Ignacio Camacho from Malaga and, as a result, Guilavogui appears to have fallen down the pecking order.
Consequently, Bild add that Wolfsburg may be willing to sell for a reasonable price this summer and West Brom will be hoping that they could nab the seven-time France international on a cut-price deal.
A tall and rangy midfielder, Guilavogui shone alongside Luis Gustavo as a Wolfsburg side inspired by Kevin De Bruyne (below), Ivan Perisic and Bas Dost finished second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich in 2014/15.
However, his influence has waned in the last two seasons, Guilavogui starting just 17 Bundesliga games last campaign as Die Wolfen were forced to secure their survival via a narrow relegation play-off victory against Eintracht Braunschweig.
And, ironically, West Brom’s hopes of doing a deal have been boosted by the signing of Camacho, who The Baggies missed out on this summer.
