Report: West Brom will listen to offers for Salomon Rondon

West Bromwich Albion could cash in on Salomon Rondon despite the Venezuelan finishing as the club’s top goalscorer in the last two seasons.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror, West Brom have decided that they are willing to let Salomon Rondon move on this summer if they receive a decent offer for the Venezuelan.

Rondon arrived at the Hawthorns back in 2012 for £12 million, according to the Mirror, and has finished both of his campaigns with the club as their top goalscorer in the Premier League.

However, his overall record for West Brom is not the most impressive, with the 27-year-old yet to reach double figures in the top flight in a single campaign. His current record reads 17 league goals in 71 games for Tony Pulis’ men.

And the Mirror reports that West Brom will now consider selling Rondon just a matter of months after receiving a bid of £32 million for the former Zenit man from the Chinese Super League.

Unfortunately for the Baggies, his form since that bid came in makes it seem highly unlikely that Rondon will attract that kind of offer again.

Despite Rondon’s struggles, it is perhaps a surprise that West Brom are willing to sell. Though Jay Rodriguez has been signed this summer, the Baggies are still lacking options up front with Hal Robson-Kanu joining the pair as the club’s only three recognised forwards.

And West Brom fans will be hoping that if Rondon does leave, Pulis has another target lined up who can fill the void at the Hawthorns.
