Report: West Brom, Watford, Leicester, and Swansea interested in Raul Meireles

West Brom, Watford, Leicester, and Swansea are reportedly interested in the former Portugal international.

According to reports from The Sunday People (printed edition; October 8^th – page 49), a host of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Raul Meireles.

The former Portugal international is reportedly looking to make a return to the Premier League.

The 34-year-old, who won the 2011-12 Champions League with Chelsea and also played for Liverpool, is a free agent and hoping for a swansong in England.

Meireles, who made 73 appearances for the Portugal national team, joined Fenerbahce in 2012 from Chelsea, and enjoyed four good seasons at the Turkish club.

However, he is now a free agent, and has been talking with clubs in Italy and Spain.

The report claims that he has been offered to Premier League clubs, and that now he is waiting on answers.

Four Premier League clubs – West Brom, Swansea, Watford, and Leicester City – have expressed their interest in signing him.

Meireles is a vastly experienced player, and probably has one or two years left in him to carry on in the Premier League. Given that he will be joining for free, it is worth taking a risk on him.
