Sam Allardyce is keen to bring long-time transfer target Ahmed Musa to West Bromwich Albion, with All Nigeria Soccer reporting that the Baggies agreed a deal to sign the free agent a few months.
It seems that this is a move a long time in the making.
95-time Nigeria international Musa allegedly agreed terms with the Premier League strugglers over the summer but, at the time, Al Nassr were reluctant to part with a player they invested £15 million in two years ago.
Flash forward to the present day and, with West Brom renewing their interest, there is nothing standing in Musa’s way now of a return to English shores.
The one-time Leicester City forward terminated his staggering £31 million contract with Al Nassr in October, such was his desire to make a return to a major European league after a brief spell in the Middle East (ESPN).

West Brom’s interest dates from well before the arrival of Sam Allardyce at The Hawthorns. But, with Slaven Bilic’s replacement a big fan of the former CSKA Moscow talisman, the chances of Musa heading back to the Midlands have been handed a timely boost.
According to the BBC, Allardyce’s West Ham tried to sign Musa before Leicester won a £16 million race for his signature.
The experienced free agent scored just two league goals for the Foxes, however, and West Brom fans will need some convincing that he is the man to fire them to safety.
