West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen on Charlton’s Ademola Lookman.
Charlton’s Ademola Lookman celebrates scoring their second goal
According to The Sun, West Bromwich Albion have joined the race to sign Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman in January.
The Baggies have seen Saido Berahino endure difficult 18 months, and with the young striker not only out of the side through fitness problems but also out of contract at the end of the season, manager Tony Pulis may need to bring in another striker.
Salomon Rondon has impressed, but adding a young attacker with pace to take over from Berahino – if the 23-year-old does leave The Hawthorns – should be a priority for the Baggies.
Now, The Sun report that West Brom are eyeing up Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman as a potential replacement for Berahino having starred for the Addicks.

Lookman, 19, hit five goals in 23 games last season as he burst onto the scene in the Championship, but he couldn’t stop Charlton from being relegated – and he’s notched five goals in 18 games this term.
The England Under-20 ace has been tipped for a big future, and The Mirror reported earlier this week that Everton had failed with an initial £7m approach for Lookman, with Charlton holding out for £10m.

It’s now believed that West Brom’s Technical Director Nick Hammond has been tracking Lookman ahead of a possible move for the attacker, who can play up front or out wide.
Competition is fierce, with the report adding that both Crystal Palace and Chelsea have been interested in Lookman recently, but the Baggies will hope to beat their Premier League rivals to the teenager’s signature.
