West Bromwich Albion have decided to keep Alan Pardew as manager for their next game.

Pardew’s tenure has been an extremely poor one. His arrival seemed to give Baggies fans plenty of hope following the abject end of Tony Pulis’ stay at The Hawthorns, but he has overseen just one league win and West Brom now find themselves eight points off safety with just nine Premier League games remaining.

The Daily Mail reported ahead of their trip to Watford that that could prove to be the final game of his tenure if they did not win, so he would have undoubtedly been concerned as the Hornets ran out 1-0 winners at Vicarage Road.
However, while he remains in the job for the home game against Leicester City this weekend, the Telegraph suggests that the club’s inability to find a suitable replacement was a key reason for the board’s decision.

Does Pardew deserve to keep job?
It certainly appears, based on the reports, that Pardew’s departure is inevitable whether that be in the coming weeks or in the summer, but if they cannot find the right replacement right now, keeping him for the time-being probably makes sense.
It has not worked out, but Pardew is an experienced Premier League manager so probably has as good a chance – as small as that chance is – as any potentially-available manager of keeping West Brom in the top flight this season, so sticking by him and preparing for a change in the summer may be the way to go.
