West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen on Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass.

According to The Mirror, West Bromwich Albion are interested in raiding Hull City to sign their star player Robert Snodgrass, as he snubbed a new contract with the club.

Snodgrass, 29, joined Hull from Norwich City back in the summer of 2014, but spent more than a year out of action with a knee injury before returning to help the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League last season.

The Scotland international is back to full fitness and playing at the top of his game, as he’s hit five goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, and is Hull’s main hope of staying in the top flight.

However, The Mirror now report that Snodgrass has rejected a new contract to stay at the KCOM Stadium, and the stand-off has alerted West Bromwich Albion.

Snodgrass is out of contract at the end of the season, but Hull can protect themselves given that they can trigger a 12-month option on his deal in January, meaning he won’t leave for free next summer.

Unfortunately for Hull, Snodgrass allegedly won’t extend his deal any further due to uncertainty over the ownership of the club, given that current owner Assem Allam wants to sell the club and won’t spend much money in the meantime.

West Brom will now be hoping to use that to their advantage, and are believed to be one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Snodgrass, with the Daily Record claiming that Celtic are also keen.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has developed his side into a more attacking unit this season, and adding the quality of Snodgrass to supply Salomon Rondon would be a smart move, whilst there’s a solid contingent of Scottish players at The Hawthorns already, with Darren Fletcher, James Morrison and Matt Phillips important players in Pulis’ squad.
