West Bromwich Albion reportedly hope to appoint Darren Moore’s successor within the next couple of days.

West Brom are looking to announce their next manager within the next 48 hours after their decision to part company with Darren Moore earlier this weekend, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The Baggies left some of the football world stunned by announcing that Moore had been dismissed in the wake of their 1-1 draw with bottom side Ipswich Town on Saturday.
West Brom now find themselves nine points off the top two in the Championship and have taken just one point from their last three games. Nevertheless, some have criticised the decision to let Moore go after doing a superb job to give the club a chance of avoiding relegation last season and keeping them right in the mix to go straight back up this year.
The Mail reports that the Baggies want to have their new manager in place within the next two days, but BBC Sport suggests that they are not expected to take charge of Wednesday’s clash with Swansea City.

It could be a fantastic opportunity for the new manager to come in. On paper, West Brom arguably have one of the best squads in the division and certainly have the potential to put the kind of run together that could still give the top three something to worry about.
But as Moore would have been optimistic that he could deliver promotion this season, the next head coach may perhaps feel the pressure to ensure that the club’s ruthless decision to replace him at this stage is vindicated by the end of the campaign.
