A summer West Bromwich Albion target is now reportedly on the radar of a club 2,000 miles away.

Ghanasoccernet claimed the West Brom manager Slaven Bilic hoped to use his relationship with Andre Ayew to lure the Swansea City striker to the Baggies ahead of the October transfer deadline.

Bilic was in charge of West Ham when the Hammers paid a rumoured fee of £21.5 million for Ayew.

And the Ghanaian could soon be on the move for a significantly lower amount, with his Swansea contract due to expire at the end of this season.

Whether or not West Brom will revive their alleged interest remains to be seen.

But according, again, to Ghanasoccernet, they could be rivalled by the Turkish side Goztepe SK if so.

The website states that Ayew ‘is high on the wish-list of Goztepe’, who are ‘ready to break the bank’ to sign him in January.

But with Ayew a key member of the Swansea side that is currently fourth in the Championship, he could prove tough to prise away.

Should Goztepe get their man, he would likely link up with the former West Brom striker Brown Ideye in Turkey.
