West Bromwich Albion are still keen on signing Bacary Sagna, while the full-back attracted attention from Everton over the summer.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, West Brom remain keen on bolstering their squad following the end of the transfer window by going after Bacary Sagna, while Everton were amongst the clubs to consider moving for him during the summer.
Sagna is currently a free agent having left Manchester City at the end of last season, and the Mail reports that the Baggies are interested in making a move for the full-back with space in their squad still to fill.
Tony Pulis will have to see off competition from Leicester for the 34-year-old’s signature, but the Mail suggests that they are probably fortunate that four more Premier League sides are not also rivalling them.
According to the Mail, Everton were one of the quartet that considered moving for him during the summer, along with West Ham, Brighton and Chelsea.
While Sagna is reaching the twilight of his career, he would arguably be an astute signing for the Baggies if they managed to bring him in.
The France international would bring plenty of experience to Pulis’ ranks, and would perhaps help instil a winning mentality in the side having played for two of the division’s heavyweights since arriving in England back in 2007.
