West Bromwich Albion have reportedly set Jake Livermore’s asking price, with Crystal Palace interested, after turning down £24m from Leicester last summer.

West Bromwich Albion could have made £24m if they had sold Jake Livermore to Leicester City in the summer of 2017, according to Birmingham Live.

The Baggies rejected the bid at the time, but will now accept less for Livermore following their relegation from the Premier League.

However, they still value the midfielder at more than what Crystal Palace – who are currently leading the race for the 28-year-old’s signature – are currently offering.

The Eagles are willing to spend around £10m on Livermore, but West Brom want upwards of £15m if they are to sell the England international.

In fact the Mirror has reported that the West Midlands side are hoping to keep hold of the former Hull City star despite their drop into the Championship, although the player himself knows that will greatly hinder his international chances having made the five-man reserve list for Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Newly appointed permanent manager at the Hawthorns, Darren Moore, will try and convince Livermore to stay in upcoming talks but his bargaining position will be further hindered by the fact the midfield ace has a 50 percent cut in wages written into his contract following relegation.
