Chelsea are willing to loan Charly Musonda out and West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United are two of the sides interested.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Chelsea’s £15 million capture of Ross Barkley has left the Blues ready to loan out Charly Musonda, and West Brom have joined Newcastle and a couple of their Premier League rivals in the race to sign the 21-year-old.

Musonda is one of the most highly rated youngsters coming through at Stamford Bridge right now but has barely featured for Antonio Conte’s side this season, and The Telegraph reports that the Blues’ deal to sign Barkley from Everton has left the path clear for the Belgium under-21 international to leave on loan for the rest of the season.

And The Telegraph adds that there is set to be no shortage of takers, with Newcastle, Bournemouth, Watford and West Brom all keen on adding the prospect to their squads for the final months of the campaign.

It is no surprise that Alan Pardew is interested in signing Musonda on loan as he desperately looks to give his side more quality going forward that will help lift them out of the bottom three.

The Baggies have scored just 16 goals and sit second-bottom right now, and their ability to get deals done during this window is restricted by the fact that they need to sell before they can sign players permanently – as reported by the Express and Star.

Musonda’s lack of top flight experience may make a deal something of a gamble, but he clearly boasts a considerable amount of potential, so it may prove a masterstroke if they can get a deal done ahead of their rivals – especially if he is determined to prove a point to his parent club.
