West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing the Manchester United man, but are prepared to give up.
A report in the Birmingham Mail has suggested West Brom are prepared to give up in their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin unless they get some answers to the questions they have about a potential move.
The Mail reports that the Baggies attempted to win the race for the 27-year-old – who is also attracting the attention of Everton – with an £18 million bid. However, that was rejected.

And with West Brom fearing that Schneiderlin would rather make a move to Goodison Park – due to his history of working with Toffees boss Ronald Koeman during their time together at Southampton – they are now considering admitting defeat by the end of the week, the Mail reports.
According to the Mail, Tony Pulis’ men will only maintain their interest if they learn that the Frenchman would be interested in making a switch to the Hawthorns and if they receive word from United as to exactly how much it would cost to strike a deal.

It is hardly surprising that West Brom are ready to give up in the race unless they receive assurances. After a fairly quiet summer, Baggies supporters may have been hoping for a much busier window this time around.
However, they are still awaiting their first signing of the month nearly a third of the way through, and avoiding a drawn out saga may be necessary if they hope to start getting some players through the door.
