According to The Telegraph, West Bromwich Albion are now favourites to sign Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury on loan.
It’s claimed that West Brom are now the most likely destination for Choudhury if Leicester do let him leave this summer.
There have been a host of other Premier League clubs linked with Choudhury, who needs first-team action if he is to develop.
The 23-year-old has only managed one Premier League start and played 70 minutes across three appearances in the league, with most of his action coming in the Europa League.
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce is desperate to add a defensive midfielder this month, and Choudhury would certainly fit the bill as a short-term option.
The news comes just days after the Daily Mail reported that West Brom were challenging Celtic for the signing of Preston North End’s Ben Pearson.

If West Brom are focusing on signing Choudhury on loan rather than Pearson permanently, then that may well leave Celtic as favourites to sign the 26-year-old.
Pearson is out of contract this summer and can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Celtic, though Preston may simply want to sell now before he leaves for nothing.
