The forward has been linked with leaving West Bromwich Albion for a long time.

A report in the Express and Star has claimed that West Bromwich Albion are slightly more hopeful about their chances of convincing Saido Berahino to stay at the Hawthorns.
The Express and Star reports that the 23-year-old’s relationship with the club was damaged last summer when a move to Tottenham failed to materialise, leaving the striker to state that he would never play under former chairman Jeremy Peace again in the immediate aftermath.

And while it may have appeared that his relationship with the Premier League club would not have improved after he was put on a weight-loss programme recently, the Express and Star claims that Berahino is willing to do anything to force his way back into the team, including the programme.
Though the Express and Star adds that West Brom have had no indication from the player that he is now willing to extend his contract, which expires in the summer, the club are more confident of agreeing a deal following the takeover that saw Peace replaced as chairman.

While Baggies fans would probably not be too bothered currently if Berahino did end up leaving next year – he has not scored for the club since February – an end to the speculation surrounding his future may help him find his best form.
He scored 20 times in all competitions during the 2014/15 campaign. And with Tony Pulis currently lacking striker options – though Salomon Rondon has been impressive this term – having Berahino rediscover that kind of form would boost their hopes of finishing in the top-half enormously.
