West Bromwich Albion are interested in bringing the Sporting Lisbon star to the Hawthorns.
West Bromwich Albion have made a bid to sign Sporting Lisbon’s exciting midfielder William Carvalho, according to the Daily Mail.
The Mail reports that the 24-year-old – who was a part of the Portugal side that surprised so many by winning last year’s European Championships – has a £38 million buy-out clause in his contract.

And while it is unclear whether it would take the Baggies triggering the release clause to make a move happen, another report from the Daily Mail has suggested that they do have the funds to sign Sporting’s vice-captain.
Should they manage to make a deal happen for Carvalho, it would undoubtedly be another marquee signing for West Brom fans to get excited about.

The midfielder has arguably established himself as one of the best on the continent in his position, and would bring with him a wealth of European experience, having featured in the Champions League and Europa League regularly over the last few seasons.
And it would arguably not be unfair to suggest that his arrival at the Hawthorns perhaps has the potential to be the acquisition that bolsters the Baggies’ chances of remaining in the top-half of the Premier League table this season.
