West Bromwich Albion have decided that they will not be offering young trialist Tyrell Robinson a contract at the Hawthorns, the Birmingham Mail reports.

The 17-year-old is on Arsenal’s books, but joined the Baggies as they looked to bolster their youth ranks.

And while the winger got on the scoresheet during the club’s under-23 side’s victory over Fulham last month – he also featured in the 3-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers – the Midlands outfit have opted not to hand the prospect a deal having not been overly impressed, the Mail reports.

The Mail adds that former West Ham target Robinson is set to return to the Gunners and does not intend to earn another trial with a different side.

Unfortunately for Robinson, his cause may not have been helped by the recent emergence of Jonathan Leko.

The youngster has now made a handful of appearances for the first-team since making his debut last season, and has got the potential to enjoy a very bright future.

But with Leko being of the same age as Robinson and featuring in a similar position, it may have meant that the latter would have had to make a big impression to stand out and come across as a player that the club simply had to sign.
