West Bromwich Albion were linked with a move for the winger earlier this week.

The West Bromwich Albion linked winger, Matheus Pereira, has been cut from Sporting Lisbon’s squad, Record reports.
Sky Sports reported on Thursday that West Brom’s pursuit had ended due to Sporting’s demands.
But the Portuguese giants are now said to be ‘speeding up his exit’.
According to Record, Pereira will leave the Estadio José Alvalade, ‘most probably definitively’, and sees that as his best option.
Although, it remains to be seen whether or not West Brom could still be the Brazilian’s destination.

West Brom have lost two wide players, Jacob Murphy and Jefferson Montero since the end of last season, but have gained another in Oliver Burke, after his Celtic loan spell expired.
A Sporting academy product, Pereira spent last season on loan to 1. FC Nürnberg, then of the German top flight, and has a contract until 2022 in Lisbon.
