West Bromwich Albion are reportedly leading the race to sign Celtic’s highly rated Scotland star, Stuart Armstrong.
Premier League clubs, Brighton and Everton, are also reportedly interested in the 25-year-old attacking midfielder. However, according to reports from The Express, West Brom are looking to muscle in ahead of their rivals.
Tony Pulis has sent scout Andy Thorn to Pittodrie on Friday to keep an eye on the Hoops midfielder in Celtic’s 3-1 win over Aberdeen.
The report suggests that Pulis has received rave reviews about the player from West Brom’s Scottish players, Darren Fletcher and James Morrison. Both spoke highly about Armstrong’s performance in his international debut against Slovenia in March.

The Celtic attacking midfielder has enjoyed a brilliant 2016/17 domestic campaign, where he has scored 14 goals in 30 league games, according to whoscored.com.
Armstrong is reportedly happy at Celtic, and Brendan Rodgers wants the midfielder to commit to a new four-year deal. The Bhoys want a deal to be tied up before the Cup final.
West Brom are willing to pay in the region of £8 million and wages in excess of £30,000-a-week to lure him to the Hawthorns.
While Celtic can offer him a pay hike, Champions League football, and the prospect of more silverware, the player could be tempted by the lure of playing in one of the best leagues in the world.
