The Nigerian forward is said to have attracted interest from West Bromwich Albion.

According to the print edition of the Sun on Sunday (22/05/2017) and later reported online by the New Telegraph, West Bromwich Albion have joined the race to sign Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho this summer.

The 20-year-old is one of the most talented young players in the Premier League and he has found the net 21 times despite making only 20 starts for the Blues to date (with a further 44 appearances coming from the bench).

West Brom are far from the only side interested, with new clubs being linked every day. But given the player’s innate talent – and the feeling among many that City are making a huge mistake putting him on the market – that is no surprise.

For a reported £20million one of the most exciting young goal-scorers in the Premier League could be yours, and while West Brom will have to go some to seal a deal, their fans should be delighted that the Baggies have thrown their hat into the ring.

Iheanacho is a natural goal-scorer with innate talent in abundance and he could take The Hawthorns by storm.

If City really do cash in on him, he needs a club where he is valued and able to play week in, week out.

Wherever he ends up, the Nigerian will score plenty; West Brom fans can only hope that when an announcement is made, they have sealed what could be one of their greatest deals of all time.
