A report in The Sun have suggested that West Bromwich Albion have become the latest club to register an interest in Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa, but appear unlikely to actually land the Argentinian during the January transfer window.
The Sun reports that Ulloa has grown frustrated with the lack of chances at the King Power Stadium – he has started just one Premier League game this term, while making another 11 appearances from the bench – and is keen to move on.

That has seemingly persuaded a queue of clubs to consider a switch. The Sun reports that Sunderland and Swansea City were interested in the summer and that the Baggies and Hull City have taken a very recent look at the 30-year-old, while the Yorkshire Post suggested last month that Championship side Leeds United had him on their radar.
However, it appears that the quintet are likely to be left disappointed as The Sun adds that Claudio Ranieri is not willing to leave the path clear for Ulloa to move on despite his inability to break into the starting line-up on a regular basis.

With Islam Slimani set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, The Sun reports that Ranieri is putting his foot down by not allowing the former Brighton man to leave during this window.
While the likes of West Brom and Leeds may be left frustrated that it appears that they will have no luck trying to sign Ulloa, they will be pleased that Leicester have taken their firm stance so early in the window as they have more than enough time to switch their attention to other targets, if they have not done so already, before the deadline.
