A report in the Daily Star has suggested that West Brom are one of six Premier League clubs interested in handing Hull City’s defender Harry Maguire the chance to stay in the top flight.
Maguire’s form was one of the main positives to come from a difficult season for the Tigers, and unsurprisingly, there are a number of clubs wanting to sign him from the KCOM Stadium following the side’s relegation.
The Star reports that the likes of Tottenham, Everton and West Ham are amongst the sides chasing his signature, but they have also been joined by the Baggies as they look to build upon a mostly promising season that ended quite disappointingly.
Tony Pulis’ men were eighth for much of the campaign but ultimately just about held on for a top-half spot as they lost seven of their last nine games without a single win during that spell.

The Baggies boasted the second-worst defensive record in the top-half of the table over the course of the season, so it is hardly a surprise that Pulis may be looking to bolster his options at the back, with a move for Maguire arguably proving especially tempting given that Hull have gone down.
And if West Brom could win the race for his signature, they would arguably be making a major statement of intent given the calibre of sides also wanting to bring him in this summer.
