According to Sky Sports, West Brom are in advanced talks with West Ham over the signing of Robert Snodgrass.
The Baggies have offered the 33-year-old a permanent contract, as they look to bolster Sam Allardyce’s squad ahead of a crucial relegation battle.
West Ham deem Snodgrass surplus to requirements in east London.
The former Leeds maestro has made just three Premier League appearances this season, with none of those coming as starts.
Sky Sports reveals that there is more Premier League interest in the ex-Norwich man, but West Brom are the current favourites.
No fee was mentioned in the report. However, in our view, we can’t imagine it will be a huge sum, as Snodgrass’ West Ham contract expires in June.

Sky Sports also mention that signing the Scot permanently keeps a loan spot open for Allardyce.
The Midlands-based outfit are entitled to two domestic loan additions, one of which is currently being occupied by Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.
This isn’t the first time that Allardyce has tried to sign Snodgrass, whose brilliant left-foot has helped him forge a reputation as somewhat of a set-piece specialist.

At one point – as Transfermarkt shows – he was on par with Lionel Messi in terms of gaining assists from set-piece deliveries.
The Guardian revealed that Allardyce tried to sign Snodgrass for Crystal Palace in 2017 before he eventually joined West Ham in a deal worth £10.2 million.
In our view, any West Brom fans who are unsure about this deal should take comfort in the fact that Allardyce hasn’t let his interest in Snodgrass wane over the years.
He is clearly convinced by the Scottish dead-ball specialist.
