West Bromwich Albion could face a battle with ‘a host of clubs’ to sign the Polish striker.
West Bromwich Albion are in advanced talks to sign the Pogon Szczecin striker, Adam Buksa, according to the Sun.
The newspaper claims West Brom have been negotiating with the Polish side for the last few days, and are ready to meet the £3 million asking price.
23-year-old Buksa, who has caps for Poland at under-21 level, has scored 16 goals in 38 games for Pogon.
And his scoring record should appeal to a West Brom side short of strikers after losing Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle earlier this summer, replacing them with Kenneth Zohore from Cardiff City.
Like Zohore, Buksa is a notable presence, standing at 6ft 3.
But West Brom may not have things all their own way in their pursuit of the player, who is also said to be interesting SC Braga, Hellas Verona – after Mario Balotelli turned down the Italian side – and a host of European and Championship clubs, according to the Sun.
