West Bromwich Albion have had a bid rejected for Huddersfield Town forward Karlan Grant as they step up their preparations for the new Premier League season, according to the Telegraph.
Slaven Bilic might have led the Baggies back to the big time at the first time of asking but his job is only half done so far.
West Brom have absolutely no plans to boing back into the Championship any time soon and, if they are to ensure their return to the top flight is more than a flying visit, attacking reinforcements are an absolute must.
After all, no one in Bilic’s squad scored more than ten league goals last season, while both Callum Robinson and Grady Diangana have departed after their loan spells at The Hawthorns came to an end.
The arrival of Grant would be very well received, then; although West Brom have a long way to go before they can unveil the Huddersfield talisman.
The Baggies have had an opening bid rejected, but it remains to be seen how much the Terriers are demanding for their 19-goal top scorer.

TEAMtalk suggested earlier in the summer that Grant is valued in excess of £15 million, which means West Brom would have to shatter their transfer record to snap up the one-time Charlton Athletic poacher.
A versatile and instinctive attacker who can play out wide or through the middle, Grant has a respectable record in the Premier League too, even if the sample size is rather small.
The 22-year-old scored four times in nine top-flight starts for Huddersfield during the second half of 2018/19.
