West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans is attracting plenty of attention from their Premier League rivals.

The Express and Star reports that both the Gunners and the runaway Premier League leaders have made enquiries regarding Evans’ availability, but neither has confirmed their interest with an offer.

The problem this will pose for West Brom is that Evans’ situation has a major impact on what Alan Pardew can do this month, as the Express and Star suggests that selling players is the only way that the Baggies boss can get the funds to make deals happen during the January transfer window.

And they most definitely need to make some moves happen. They go into Saturday’s clash with Brighton second-bottom in the table, four points off safety.
And if they lose Evans right at the end of the window, they will not only be losing one of their best players, but their survival hopes will be dented further as they may not have the time to bring the players they want in to The Hawthorns before the deadline.
