Slaven Bilic is already putting his stamp on West Bromwich Albion.

The former Croatia coach was named as Darren Moore’s successor last week and he has already brought in a whole new coaching staff while brazenly announcing his intention to bring Premier League football back to The Hawthorns.

But who will be Bilic’s first signing as West Brom manager? Well, according to El Mundo Deportivo, it could just be a former Barcelona youngster.

Jordi Quintilla spent five years in the famed La Masia academy between 2009 and 2014, joining the Catalan giants from Lleida.

Unlike Sergio Busquets, Pedro, Sergio Roberto and co, however, Quintilla failed to make the grade at the Camp Nou. He left for France in 2014, joining Ajaccio, before embarking upon a nomadic career which has taken him to St Gallen in Austria after spells in Kansas and Puerta Rico.

And Mundo Deportivo suggests that the English Midlands could be his next destination.

West Brom are battling Stuttgart and Bundesliga newcomers Union Berlin for the 25-year-old, who revived his stuttering career with an excellent season at St Gallen.

The report adds that Quintilla could be available for less than £1 million.

With Gareth Barry and James Morrison out of contract, plus doubts surrounding the future of Rekeem Harper, Quintilla could be a much needed addition in the centre of the park.
