West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans is being targeted by Premier League rivals Leicester City.
West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans
A report in the Express and Star has suggested that West Brom are determined to keep hold of Jonny Evans this summer after rejecting a bid for the defender from Premier League rivals Leicester City.
The Express and Star reports that the Baggies have rejected a £10 million bid from the Foxes for the 29-year-old, who arrived at the Hawthorns from Manchester United in 2015.

And it appears that any possible bids subsequently made by Leicester are likely to receive the same response as the Express and Star suggests that West Brom have absolutely no plans to let Evans go during the coming months.
It is no surprise that Tony Pulis is determined to keep Evans at the club given the lack of options in the Baggies’ defence as well as in the squad as a whole.

West Brom currently have three senior centre-backs on their books, and one of them, Craig Dawson has predominantly played at right-back throughout the past campaign, so Pulis’ priority will surely be signing another defender rather than letting one go.
And with Darren Fletcher dealing West Brom a blow by leaving for Stoke, Evans’ leadership qualities will be especially important at this stage.
