West Ham United winger Grady Diangana could become West Bromwich Albion’s record signing with a permanent deal expected to reach a fee in excess of £17 million, according to the Express and Star.
While David Moyes appeared to have his heart set on constructing a youthful, home-grown West Ham team, arguably the most exciting prospect at his disposal is on the verge of departing the London Stadium.
Diangana was a revelation on loan at West Brom last season. And, after securing promotion back to the Premier League, the Baggies have reached an agreement with West Ham to sign the England U21 international on a permanent basis.
Diangana will set West Brom back an initial £12 million, although the deal is expected to move beyond the £17 million mark with various add-ons and bonuses – making him the club’s record signing.

With eight goals and six assists in only 23 Championship starts last season, Diangana looked worthy of a place in West Brom’s history books during a series of exhilarating performances in the white and navy stripes.
Baggies boss Slaven Bilic even described the 22-year-old as “unbelievable” in June, highlighting Diangana’s supreme skill in attack as well as his commanding work rate off the ball and defensive discipline.
West Brom have already signed another former loan star on a full-time basis, Matheus Pereira, while Callum Robinson could also return to the Midlands.
