Alvaro Negredo is on West Brom’s radar
A report in The Sun has suggested that West Brom are considering making a move for Alvaro Negredo this week, and have been boasted by the fact that the striker wants to stay in a top league.
The Sun reports that the likes of Galatasaray and AEK Athens are interested in targeting the Valencia striker, while the La Liga side are happy to let him move on and off the wage bill.

The Baggies have been alerted to Negredo’s situation, and The Sun suggests that they could make their move this week with the fact that the former Manchester City man is targeting playing in a major league surely boosting their chances of winning the race over the other two.
Given the struggles of the Baggies’ two senior strikers this past season, it would arguably be a good piece of business from Tony Pulis’ men to land the 31-year-old, especially as Valencia’s reported desire to sell could perhaps lead to a good deal being struck.

Negredo scored nine of Middlesbrough’s 27 league goals this past season during a loan spell at the Riverside Stadium – one more goal than Baggies top goalscorer Salomon Rondon and six more than Hal Robson-Kanu – and that was in a Boro side that obviously struggled to create opportunities going forward.
Pulis may be hoping if he can seal a deal for Negredo, that working with the likes of Nacer Chadli and Matt Phillips will see him earn many more chances and give him the platform to prove that he can still thrive at the highest level.
