According to The Mirror, West Bromwich Albion could consider Slavisa Jokanovic and David Wagner this summer as their managerial madness goes on.

The Baggies sacked Darren Moore last month despite sitting in fourth place, and fans assumed that he was relieved of his duties in order to bring in a manager who could win promotion through the playoffs.

Instead, West Brom’s managerial search has gone on and on, and having failed to lure Preston North End boss Alex Neil, caretaker boss James Shan is now in charge for the rest of the season.

Going from Moore to Shan seems like a largely pointless, sideways move, but the Baggies now have some time to weigh up their options ahead of a big summer appointment.

Of course, Shan could do enough to land the job full-time, but The Mirror note that West Brom could move for Jokanovic or Wagner come the end of the season.

Ex-Fulham boss Jokanovic was the top choice initially having worked with West Brom’s Technical Director Luke Dowling at Watford, but the Serbian couldn’t be lured to The Hawthorns.

Meanwhile, Wagner has been out of work since leaving Huddersfield Town in January, and whilst the German will most likely be in huge demand, West Brom may well have him on their wish list.

Both managers have promotions on their CV’s; Jokanovic with Watford and Fulham, Wagner with Huddersfield. Landing either would be a major coup for West Brom and a real signal of intent, even if comes a little later than fans would have liked.
