The former Swansea City and West Ham United managers are reportedly in the frame for Darren Moore’s old job at West Bromwich Albion.
West Bromwich Albion are considering Carlos Carvalhal and David Moyes as their next manager with the club’s interest in Slavisa Jokanovic believed to have cooled, according to The Sun (13/03 Goals pullout, page four).
However, the newspaper claims the Baggies will also give James Shan two games in which to earn his caretaker role until the summer.
West Brom sacked Darren Moore after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, with Jokanovic emerging as early favourite.
The out-of-work Serbian led both Watford and Fulham into the Premier League, making him the ideal candidate for an Albion side currently fourth in the Championship with 10 games remaining.
However, it appears they may have to look elsewhere for Moore’s successor, with Carvalhal and Moyes the latest names linked with the Hawthorns vacancy.
Carvalhal took Sheffield Wednesday to back-to-back play-off finishes – reaching the final in 2016 – before an ill-fated spell at Swansea City last season, while Moyes counts Manchester United, Everton and West Ham United among his previous clubs.
The pair were sacked by Swansea and West Ham, respectively, at the end of last season.
