According to L’Equipe, Huddersfield Town and West Bromwich Albion are both pursuing the signature of Troyes defender Charles Traore.

Huddersfield are in the market for signings having managed to secure a second season in the Premier League, whilst it also promises to be a huge summer for West Brom.

The Baggies suffered relegation to the Championship and will face a major upheaval, with plenty of incomings and departures expected at The Hawthorns this summer.

Now, L’Equipe report that both teams are looking to bring in a new left back, with Troyes ace Charles Traore believed to be a target for the duo this summer.

Troyes suffered relegation from Ligue 1 this past season, and Traore is unlikely to stay in Ligue 2, meaning a summer transfer appears to be on the cards.

A Malian international, 26, Traore has had a fairly quiet career in the ranks of FC Aulnaysien, FC Azzurri 90 Lausanne and Nantes before heading to Troyes in 2015.

Traore made 34 Ligue 1 appearances this past season, and he seems to have done enough to impress both Huddersfield and West Brom, who are lookg to prise him away despite having another two years left on his deal.

Traore could be targeted by West Brom if Kieran Gibbs moves on this summer, but challenging a Premier League club may make things difficult for the Baggies.
