West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City are reportedly looking to add firepower to their squads in the summer.
Sandro Wagner in action
Reports emanating from Germany today suggest that the Baggies will battle it out with the Swans for Hoffenheim’s highly-rated striker Sandro Wagner in the summer, according to German media outlet Bild.
Tony Pulis has found himself to be the target of heavy criticism from the Hawthorns faithful over the course of the last two transfer windows, for his failure to complete deals for some of his primary transfer targets.
That seems extremely harsh on the West Brom boss, however, after he has guided his side to eighth position in the Premier League table.
They are still in desperate need of added firepower though, to help supplement the skills of Salomon Rondon.
Swansea, on the other hand, are in the midst of a resurgence under new manager Paul Clement, and he will be looking to add to his squad over the summer, to increase the competition for the likes of Fernando Llorente.
And Bild claim that both West Brom and Swansea will try to tempt the German side with an offer for the striker in the summer.
Wagner could be the ideal signing for both clubs, with his physically attributes being perfectly suited to the English game.

He stands at 6ft 4in tall, is a real threat from set-pieces with his powerful frame, and has wonderful technical ability.
The 29-year-old has also proven his goalscoring credentials by scoring 10 goals in 17 Bundesliga outings for Hoffenheim so far this season.
Out of the two Premier League clubs, the Baggies must surely be considered favourites to land the forward, however, with their far superior standing in the league table.
