West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United are interested in signing £5 million-rated Toulouse striker Rhys Healey during the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
In one of last summer’s more intriguing moves, a Manchester-born striker swapped League One and MK Dons for a club relegated out of Ligue 1.
And Healey has been so impressive across the Channel that, after firing Toulouse into the automatic promotion positions, a return to England could be on the cards.
TEAMtalk claim that Premier League strugglers West Brom and Sheffield United are keen, as are Championship trio Norwich City, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth.
What’s more, Healey is understood to be valued at £5 million – five times more than the fee MK Dons sold him for six months ago.
The former Colchester, Cardiff and Torquay United forward has scored an impressive nine goals in 19 games during his debut season in French football, showcasing the sort of form that once earned him the admiration of Neil Warnock during his time in South Wales.
“He’s a confident lad. Nothing fazes him,” said Warnock, who is apparently keen to strike a reunion at Middlesbrough.
“I’ve watched him a few times myself and there are things about him. (His shooting ability) will make him a good living.”
