West Bromwich Albion and Hull City are both interested in signing Blackburn Rovers man Jason Lowe.

A report in the Daily Mail has suggested that West Brom and Hull City are both interested in moving for Blackburn Rovers captain Jason Lowe.

The Mail reports that Lowe’s contract at Ewood Park only runs until the end of the season and he is ready to leave the club on a Bosman deal, prompting interest from the Premier League pair.

While West Brom and Hull’s top flight status may appear to make them favourites to land the 25-year-old – who has spent more than a decade with Blackburn, having come through the youth ranks before making his first-team debut in 2011 – the Mail reports that Brighton are also interested in the utility man.

And with the Mail hinting that Lowe could wait until the end of the campaign when his contract expires to move, the Seagulls may perhaps become a much more attractive option by the time he makes a switch.

Hull are currently situated in the relegation zone in the Premier League while Brighton are second in the Championship and have a decent cushion to the third placed team in the division, so the two teams may perhaps be trading places in the summer.

But with the Baggies doing so well in the top flight – they sit eighth despite their recent poor run of form – it may be difficult for either of the other teams in the race to prevent Lowe moving to the Hawthorns, unless they can convince him that his chances of first-team football would be harmed if he joined Tony Pulis’ men.
