Wayne Rooney reportedly intends to see out his contract at Manchester United, which runs until 2019.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United attacker Wayne Rooney has no intention of leaving Old Trafford before his contract expires in 2019.
Rooney, 31, has been a star for the Red Devils since his 2004 move from Everton, and having been billed as one of the brightest young stars in English football during his time at Goodison Park, he’s lived up to the billing.

Currently club captain at Old Trafford, Rooney has scored 247 goals in 535 games for United, but this season, he’s had to cope with a smaller role under Jose Mourinho.
With two goals in 15 games, Rooney has made a slow start to the new season, and not only lost his place in the United side under Mourinho, but was also dropped by England for the recent international with Slovenia.

His struggles this term have led to rumours about Rooney’s future, and the Daily Mail note that Everton are keen to bring Rooney back to his boyhood club, whilst teams in China and the United States are also keen if he’s available.
However, the report states that Rooney currently has no desire to leave Manchester United, and is intent on seeing out his contract with the club, which runs until the summer of 2019.

That deal also has a one-year option whereby Rooney can stay until 2020, and with an alleged contract worth £230,000-a-week plus bonuses, it’s not hard to see why Rooney would want to stay.
Add in that he is just three goals shy of Bobby Charlton’s goalscoring record for the club, and Rooney will be looking to create history before leaving Old Trafford – meaning Everton may have to wait if they want to offer Rooney return to Goodison Park.
