Report: Wayne Rooney has had no discussions with Everton boss Marco Silva

Everton’s Wayne Rooney is set to leave Goodison Park, as he has still had no discussions with Marco Silva.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Wayne Rooney is yet to have any discussions with Everton’s new manager Marco Silva.

Everton striker Rooney’s future has been up in the air all summer, with the striker closing on a move away from Merseyside to join DC United.

There were some suggestions that the appointment of Silva could save Rooney.

However, the former England captain has not been in contact with Everton’s new boss since taking charge, and seemingly has no future at Goodison Park in the short-term.

Rooney has reportedly already been granted a US-visa, with the logistics all put in place for him to move to DC United.

The American side are getting Rooney from Everton for free, but the Toffees have been keen to get the 32-year-old’s high wages off their books.

Rooney made 31 Premier League appearances for Everton last term, scoring 10 goals, but his form in the second half of the campaign slowed down considerably.
